Women’s Role in Society

Bonnie Spindler started her career in the corporate world and all to often found herself being chased around tables, asked about any future plans she might have in bearing children (as children would hamper her career) and bumping up against the glass ceiling. She started to incorporate her experiences, and those of her friends, into her art work. She notes that due to economic imperatives,  Men and Women’s roles in the work place and in the home continue to change. For the first time in history, more women work than men. Calling attention to these changes in a thought provoking way, hopefully gives voice to a view “felt” rather than experienced by way of statistics or news reports.
